Toe in the water or jump right in?

A past colleague once said "its a bit like housework - it gets messy before it gets better"!
I was reflecting on that as I started an office tidy up, filing and organising session. I was thinking I just had to do the "pile of paperwork" - when really what I needed was to adopt a new filing system and move some of the the furniture around!
It got messy, lots had to be done before it looked better! Ah, HUGE reward - the payoff for jumping right in ( well after many months of looking at the pile of paper!).
Is there something you're tackling in a half hearted way?
What is it? Is there an area of your life or leadership that requires more than a toe in the water?
Have you dabbled, struggled on, had a few false starts?! Maybe now is the right to jump right in? With commitment? Create the change you desire.
